Bottle. Deep dark brown color, almost opague. Nutmeg and apple syrup in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor. Thin, with loads of nutmeg and ginger. Orange peels. Unpleasant yeasty aftertaste.
Bottle sampled at Gouda Winterbier Festival. Pours dark brown with a moderate beige head Aroma of licorice, red berries, soy, tobacco, leather. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
Bottle sample at PWBF’14. Brown colour, off white head. Aroma of lots of spices, gale, ginger, cardamon, laurel. Flavour is thin though, light spicy, gale, watery, some liquorice. Light-bodied.
33cl bottle from the brewpub. Thick creay head. Too much head though. Dark amber pour. Coriander in the aftertaste
Bottle I bought at the brewery, shared with DutchDrebus. Very dark brown color, almost opaque. Smell spices or herbs, think ginger. Also in the taste. Too much carbonation and watery taste, thin texture at the same time. Just not good.
This beer, like some other beers from Kasparus, smelled a lot like Chinese food. Noticable in taste also. Colour was very nice. The mouthfeel was a bit too agressive for me, too much large co2 bubbles. Kinda hurts my chest when swallowing.
