Bottle, 5.9%ABV. Bronze with a large off white head that settles slowly to 1 cm and never disappears. Aroma is earthy and spicy with strong bread, some dried fruit. Chewy. Bread crusts, some dried banana. Only a little earthy. A dry, bitter and surprisingly warming finish with punchy and very English spices. Feels very substantial but is very drinkable with that finish really lifting things. Only gradually appreciated just how hoppy it is. Stunning but respectful twist on type of beer that can be a bit staid.
