Clear dark brown beer, small creamy beige head, stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: sweet, malty, some honey, very roasted, lovely. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: slightly sweet, lots of roasted malts, honey, caramel, lots of dark chocolate, very good. Aftertaste: soft bitterness, roasted, some alcohol, little oxidized, lovely beer! This does not disappoint!
Sampled at Borefts 2019. Even though I've had several varieties, apparently I 'd never had the base beer... Black colour, dense light brown head. Aroma's: sweet, roasted, umami. Retronasal: sweet, red fruit, roast. Flavour is sweet, umami, drop (licorice). Above medium bodied (rather full actually). Long finish with roast and light biterness, Great stuff!
