In late summer 2018, we made a wine from Cabernet Jura grapes that we grew ourselves at the brewery. After primary fermentation, we added the wine to a beer we brewed 6 months earlier. They were aged for 8 more months in the barrel together. At bottling, we blended this beer with another beer aged on the skins of our other red grape varieties ( Pinot Noir, Pinotin and Regent ) .

Drinking recommendation : From now til 2022/2023 … Don't serve it to cold; ideally berween 12 and 14 °c . It may benefit from opening a little in advance, so it can breath and aromatically opens up.

0,75l from bottle at Ammutson. Bottled 04/2019. Deep red color, small white head. Smells very parfumy, wood, spices, light tannins. Lovely smell. Full body, soft carbonation. Tastes tannins, spices, flowery, hay, bit grassy, subtle Fun, light wood. Finishes bit dry and lightly sour with notes of tannins, spices and some wood. Lovely, somehow there is not a lot going on, but I very much like this

Pours dark, unclear red amber. No real head. Smell is medium intense, refined, red grapes, touch funky. Taste is full, tart, grapes. Nicely funky and dry. Very complex and refined.

Not my favourite of theirs. The concept is nice, and there's nothing really wrong with it, just not really my thing. Very grapey, lightly sour, woody vinousness.. Way too subtle for me, bit of a weird mix, but not bad for sure.

Blonde sour ale with blue grapes, by Belgium’s new superstar Antidoot, a young microbrewery that does spontaneous fermentation and experiments with all kinds of herbs and fruits, for which they have generated considerable attention so far. Thanks to Hinke for sharing. Off-white, thin and eventually completely dissolving head, cloudy purplish-hued deep fuchsia red robe. Aroma of sweet red grapes and grape juice, cherry pulp, gypsum, white bread dough, blackberry jam, dry red wine, blood orange, red fruit yoghurt, grape seed oil. Tart onset, utterly fruity and filled to the brim with a generous dosage of juicy blue grapes, adding rotundity and a touch of sweetness balancing out the more basic, citric tartness; soft carb, notably creamy, soft mouthfeel. Tannic grape skin dryness, wet-woody impressions and earthy yeastiness lie heavily over a soft bready malt base, leading to an earthy, mildly spicy, tart and drying finish in which a touch of grape skin wryness lingers without disturbing the otherwise soft and creamy flavour profile of the whole beer. Very distinct and ‘different’ grape lambic – we are far removed from the grape lambics by specialist in the subject Cantillon, but this beverage displays an equally complex, noble and juicy-fruity character. Much more so than their L’Obscur Abrikoos, this kind of products may well justify the hype surrounding this admittedly hugely fascinating project.
