Draught. Brownish black colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is roasted, some caramel, mild yeast as well as some spicy and mild citrus tones. Flavour is roasted, some citrus, spices, caramel and mild earthy tones. Strange, but in a way pleasant.

Sampled from tap at the Oedipus International Beer Festival 2016. Almost black with a beige head. Sourish-fruity aroma of cherries, some chocolate, blackcurrant and some peppers. Sourish-fruity, slightly spicy taste of dark chocolate, cherries, blackcurrant and some peppers, followed by a medium long, slightly tart and a little roasty finish. Medium body, slightly astringent and a little effervescent mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Nice!

One-third pint, tap at BrewDog Grünerløkka (BD57). Crocheted lacing, jet black body with a ruby tint. Forest on the nose, hints of liquorice. Roasted malt-fruity flavours followed by a bittersweet tail with notes of yeasty fruitiness. Well balanced and fine bodied. Pleasant to drink (Oslo, 11.12.2015).

Fra kran på Brewdog Grünerløkka 11 Des 15. Svart. Lavt mokkafarget skum som etterlater bikubefiligranser. Lett surølaroma med sviskepreg. Smaken dominert av røyk & bær. Tørr ettersmak. Bra - men en saison?

On tap at Crowbar, Oslo. Pretty much black body with a fairly decent beige head. Mild roasty notes, some licorice, earthy and fruity notes and yeast. Feels a bit strong, but works out fairly well in the end. Moderate to medium sweet with some slightly sour notes. Quite okay.
