Borefts 2015, Day two. Tap. Kersen, houten vat, hmmmm. Backlog from 2015/09/26.
Dark brown. No head. Very fruity aroma. Seems like some spicy notes behind the, thankfully mild, cherry flavour.
At Borefts 2015. Aroma of vanilla, ripe fruit and oak. Taste of tardy oak, mild peat, raisin, prune, vanilla, red wine and cherry. Fantastic.
Sampled @ Borefts 2015. Opaque very murky, muddy even, brownish color, no head. Smell and taste both have strong alcohol, cherries, oak, wood, sourish, tart dry finish. Donโt like it at all, not my thing at all.
Tap at Borefts โ15. Pours cloudy brown with no head. Aroma of cherry, vinegar, oak and fruits with the Brandy barrel coming out noticeably. Flavour is light sweet and light moderate sour. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
Thx! for sharing. Sampled draft @ Borefts 2015. Day 1. Deep very murky mudy brown, little head. Nose is weird, vinegar, acetone, oak, chocolate, rotting, vinegar booze, weird mix of rotting chocolate & acetone. Taste is weird boozy, burning vinegar, boozy chocolate, acetone, murky, wood. Body is vinegar. Very sour, vinegar with odd mix of chocolate, sour wood, puckering red fruit. Weird, way too sour, weird murky, chocolate. Very messy but better than the base version. Sampled draft @ Borefts 2015. Day 2. Completely different โ almost a different version. Very deep red brown. Nose & smell is insanely sour, huge acetone, burning really, huge vinegar varnish, wood, sour wood, sour fruit, insanely acidic, hugely sour, burning. Crazily harsh. Both better than the basic version but way too harsh, weird, brutal, interesting, too harsh to really love esp. the second version which just almost burns.
Tap at Borefts. Hazy light brown with small off white head. Sour cherries, marzipan, yoghurt, lots of spices, paint thinner, sweet dough, raisins, light herbs. Light sweet, under medium sour and soft boozy bitter finish. Over medium bodied with fizzy but low carbonation.
