Duchesse de Bourgogne is a Flemish Red-brown beer of mixed fermentation. It is a sweet-fruity beer with a pleasant fresh aftertaste. The beer is brewed with deep roasted malts and slightly aromatic hops with a low bitterness. After the main fermentation and lagering, the Duchesse de Bourgogne continues to mature for months in oak feeds. The tannins present in the oak give the Duchesse de Bourgogne its fruity character.

25.4 oz bomber, poured dark reddish brown with decent sized off-white head. Medium bodied, strong carbonation. Aroma and taste have a balance of fruit sweetness and vinegar tartness, with the aroma vinegar forward.

Bottle at a tasting at the White Horse. Brown amber colour with small beige creamy head. Aroma is fruity, red wine, maybe clove, touch of vinegar and lots of funk. Taste is creamy sweet, bit of wood and nice and sour. Lots of fruit, berries. Maybe a touch too sweet.

Very sour and sweet taste. Oak, cherry and sour cream both in aroma and taste. Re-rate: Bottle. Caramel and raspberry yoghurt in the aroma. Milky sour flavor with hints of iron, caramel, yoghurt and oak. Buttery aftertaste, somewhat vinous.
