A beautiful big Seville orange tree next to our Metricup brewhouse is the inspiration every year for one of our most beloved beers. Enjoyed for its bittersweet character, the juice and zest from many baskets of Sevilles, handpicked by our brewers are added to our house saison to generate a secondary ferment whilst on oak. The combination of complex saison yeast with vibrant and tart orange marmalade character rounds of one of our house favourites.

Can. Gold with a huge white head - slightly too big for the otherwise entirely appropriate Duvel glass. Aroma of oranges and their blossoms, crackery dough, coriander, white pepper. Dryish with a dry and bitter finish. Perhaps the oranges obscure some stone fruit that might have showed without the additions but they're really not excessive and it's hard to say where the fruit ends and the hop begin. No mystery, not very "farmhouse" but very much my sort of beer.
