Deep dark red with no head. Aroma is full on cacao upfront, way more so than expected. Tart raspberry comes after after. It’s like one of those chocolate sweets with a raspberry jammy cream filling, but the chocolate is more like rich cacao, and the raspberry is more tart. Vanilla softens a little and floral honey of course is there, but behind the cacao and raspberry. Flavour is heavy sweet and light moderate sour. Full bodied juicy and with a fairly think texture, alcohol warmth in the finish and soft carbonation.
Bottle. Deep ruby red pour. Intense raspberry & dark chocolate nose. Light vanilla & a hint of honey. Sweet, sour, tiny bitter, heavy fruity, floral & earthy taste. Viscous, tart & tiny astringent mouthfeel. Crazy stuff! I’ve never experienced such amazing clear use of cocoa nibs. The execution of this is fucking flawless. The tartness from the berries, the nibs, the mellowing vanilla & the lingering honey. Blown away!
RBSG 17 grand tasting, magnum courtesy of Pips.Nice reddish violet color with small bubbly head. Big jelly jar aromas, honey, and hints of the cacao. Taste blends it all together like a big chocolate covered raspberry confection. Truly wonderful stuff.
Magnum at RBSG Grand Tasting. Pours a dark purple with no head. The aroma is strong chocolate covered cherry and vanilla bean. Medium body, jammy, vanilla, cocoa, insanely sweet, enjoyed this.
Bottle - Raspberry and nutty notes with a touch of cocoa. Deep red. Chocolate and raspberry with a light acidity and rich finish. Odd combo.
