Bottle from Livonia Liquor. Pours a pitch black with a finger of brown head that lingers, then dissipates. Cacao nib, vanilla, oak and bourbon aromas on the nose. A touch of dark fruit as it warms up. Balanced on the palate, some light oxidation at almost a year old now. More oak, bourbon and cacao nib on the palate. Some coffee and lingering toasted vanilla. Solid stuff.
Tap. Black colour and a dense beige head with a small layer retention. Smells of fruit candy, roasted malt, dark chocolate, mocha, wood, dark fudge. Retronasal it's sweet, bourbon, boozy, woody. Flavour is sweet, bourbon, woody. Alcoholfeel is strong but not sharp or burning. Full bodied. Long finish with light bitterness.
Dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma of big bourbon, oak, booze, butterscotch, caramel, milk chocolate. Flavour is heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Full bodied with soft carbonation.
Bottle shared. Thanks. Opaque black color, average sized brown head. Smell and taste malts, roasted malts, roast, liquorice. Thick texture, sticky texture, full body. Heavy.
