2019 vintage bottle from Holiday Market shared at Jimmy's farewell party. Pours a clearish honey gold with a full finger of white foam that dissipates. Big and bold elderberry aromas up front, grain, horseblanket and funk as it warms. On the palate more elderberry with notes of dried honey, lemon and apricot. Drying, balanced finish with some minerality present.
Bottle shared with Maakun at Cantillon, vintage 2019. If I could pick only one beer in the world, it would be Mamouche cause it already picked me when I tried it the first time. Slightly unclear golden with thin white head. Sweet grains, dense floral notes, nectar, pollen, herbal plant-sap notes, raw rhubarb, basil, elderberries and elderflower. Fruity, floral, cheesy, funky, juicy and herbal. Moderate sweet and quite strong sour. Some sugary edge in there and the body is leaning to over medium with some slightly gelly feel to it. Soft carbonation. Very nice to be back again! Simple fierce and natural awesome drink.
Bottle at the source, so much elderflower! Also seems a little tick in the mouthfeel. Otherwise classic Mamouche, I love it.
Eelmine aasta oli seeder/maltsasus paremini tasakaalus. See aasta tundub agressiivsem... Muidu hea ikka.
Pyszka, ale taka a la lindemanso-canti troszke... slodkie jak na takie puwi. Kwiatkowe.
Elderberry heaven!
