75cl bottle (5,5%; vintage 2021; BBF: February, 2026) from Cora in Brussels. F: some bubbles. C: deep gold to amber. A: sour fruity, rotten apples, bit funky, old lemon, old sherry, woody, bit caramel. T: medium malty base, sour fruity, apples, old lemon, gooseberry, bit bready, very dry on the palate, bit puckering, almost no carbonation, spicy touch, quite interesting combo here, enjoyable.
2020 version, 5.5%. Deep golden colour with no head or carbonation. Aroma has funk, old fruit, almonds, cassia. Starts out fairly sweet. Almond becomes cinnamon becomes tonka in a sweet, earthy, spiced type of way. Later there's a great lemony tart acidity and pleasant fruity funk. Interesting but with the sweet spice elements it isn't my taste.
Corked bottle. Blonde. Cherries and floral notes in the aroma. Moderately sour flavor with lemon, cherry and cherry blossom. Marzipan. Delicate and delicious.
Bottle at Peg’s Cycle BA Day. Pours a cloudy gold with small frothy white head that lasts. The aroma is floral, funk, cherry pith. Medium body, funky, cherry, yeast, spice, dry finish, very good.
37.5cl bottle courtesy of and shared with Kermis. Thin white head. Cloudy golden pour. Cherry aftertaste with a slight tartness.
Flaske 375ml fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø - Sentrum. Drukket på Bergstua 22 Mai 16. Dobbeltkork! Den innerste har stempel fra De Troch Wambeek. Gyldengul. Lavt skum som varer litt. God blomsterduft. Smaken lett fruktig. Blir behagelig syrlig etter hvert.
Leicht trübes orange goldenes Bier mit mittelgroßen weißen schaumkrone. Geruch sehr trocken, floral hopfig, Kräuter. Geschmack nach sauren Früchten, Kräuter, floral bitter, ungewöhnlich.
Saurer Beginn mit gemüseartigen Aromen, kernig, Laub, etwas dumpf. Die Säure bleibt bestehen, bitter, harmonisch. Interessant, vollmundig und gelungen! 10/10/12/12/15/12
At Maakun’s. Biggun shared by Maakun. Cloudy/hazy golden with a ring of white foam. Flower petals, parfume, floweriness, flower, hay, vinegar, lime pulp, lime peels, unripe white grapes, almonds. Strong sour with fruity parfume sweetness. Always hard to say something useful about the body of a sour beer but the texture is piss quality mineral-like. Tasty stuff!
