BB 2012. Clear amber colour, white creamy foam. Notes of orange zest, oxidation, sweet malts. Taste is sweet, bit oxidized, still a lot of carbonation.
Bottle. After visiting Chris at Mi Orge Mi Houblon and visiting Jean at Jean le Chocolatier, I had to buy and try this beer. Color: Orange brown-ish, off-white head. Aroma: Floral hop, malt, fruity and caramel hints. Taste: Smooth floral hopbitterness, notes of caramel, grain, toast. Fruity hints. Foamy mouthfeel. Long finish. Medium body, soft carbonation.
Commissioned beer since 2009, on 75 cl with sobre black label. Off-white, sticky, creamy, stable head, colour peach blonde with orange hue, cloudy after adding deposit. Aroma of green apple, grapefruit, tonic water, unripe pear, honey, vermouth. Dry citrussy onset, some peach, relatively strong carbonation, caramel and honeyish malts, light, soft mouthfeel, long bitterish finish, thirst-quenching. This style of top-fermented blondes the Belgian way usually has few spectacular things to offer, but this one is well-made and above average.
0.75l bottle from Etre. This is a cloudy deep orange golden one with a really good looking massive off-white head with great retention. Before the head gets a chance to settle it smells really fruity and filled with fruit sweetness. Nice. Peachy and sweet apples with zesty and yeasty tones all the way. Enjoyable indeed. It has a mild oily mouthfeel with a average carbonation level. The taste and itself is not as sweet or fruity as the aroma lead to believe. Still, it has some fruity and definitely floral touches. Semi dry, not much sweetness left here, almost a bit mineralish with hints of canned fruits like pear, mandarins and apples. Subtle but there. Ends with a hint of something almost grassy and herbal while it's leaving a nice zesty citrus bitter aftertaste. Actually quite a alright this one! 17.07.2013
Bottle shared with the Oirschot crew @ QDT 13. Clear orange color, medium sized white head that leaves good lacing. Quite fruity aroma. Taste malts, fruityness, a nice bitterness. Lightly fruity bitter finish, medium body and carbonation. Nice.
