Bomber from Jeremy. Not much of a pop. Dark brown pour, wispy head, calm. Aroma is woody, nutty, leather, hint of chocolate, light boozy notes. Taste is sweet, then a brief blast of booze, tailing off to a sticky, woody, nutty finish. Holding up very well.

Pours very dark brown, very close to black. Small ring of tanned foam. Smell is spice ( cinnamon , perhaps some kardamom ) taste is sharp, bit roasty, spices are much milder than expected. Mild oxidation. Mild spices in the back.

Bottle thanks to Ryan while we waited at ABC for ADWTD release: Poured a motor oil black with a creamy brown head. Aroma was coco and malts. Taste was a complex mix of dark fruit, coco, and robust malts. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle - Vintage 2012 - Sweet dark sugars, dates, chocolate and a nice roasty note. Deep jet black with a nice brown head. Dark roasty chocolate, dates, dark fruit and a nice long rich finish. Very nice.

This was the big beer stout that I was expecting. Has a hint of autolysis, old hops, bitter. Chocolate syrup. Bitter malts in the flavor. More chocolate syrup in flavor again. Maybe I get some light spices coming out. After this one I stopped rating, they were way more similar than different.

Sampled from a 0.65l bottle @ Top Hops (BA) Bottle Share. A deep dark almost black one with a nice deep brown sidesticking top. Lots of deep dark caramel sweetness in the nose, some spiciness also. I get thick chocolate, cocoa and roasted malts. So nice. It's really smooth on the tongue this. A little bit of alcohol voice, dark malts with tarmac, dark fruits and roasted malts before I get hints of licorice and even a little bit of gunpowder in the finish and aftertaste. Yeah, this is just fantastic. 15.06.2013
