cloudy inky purple color. Beautiful oak, sour blackberry nose with just a touch of vanilla in the background. The fruit character really shines. Semi dry. The vanilla is more pronounced on the palate and it’s less fruit forward, but still nicely present with good sourness, high carbonation. Oak and vanilla finish at the end. Pretty nice but depth on palate doesn’t match the nose.
Canned 05-03-2019. Big gusher, kept blowing off CO2 for quite some time. Fairly light, but loads of flavour present. Blackberry, of course, and a nice and fruity sourness. Pretty funky, tons of wood. Not so much carbonation in the mouth, luckily. Nice!
Can into a taster showing deep blue and a finger of purple tinged foam. The nose shows moderately intense tart notes of blackberry with a light vanilla background. The palate is well carbonated and medium bodied. Light tartness restrained by the barrel. Blackberry forward with light notes of sweet vanilla. Finish shows more sweet vanilla that follows for quite a while. Barrel and fruit combined very well.
Can - pours purple with white head - nose/taste of blackberry, oak, sourness - medium bodied
The Aromas are vinegar, blackberries and biscuit. Flavors are medium tart slight hint of sweet, berry, hint of Funk. Not overly complex. Decent body and finish.
