Deep purple with no head. Deep dark purple fruit and light honey richness. Nice candied prune and dark plum with a nice perfumy sticky note.
Bottle shared. Dark red color, no head. Aroma and favor are sweet and surprisingly somewhat sourish, heavy honey, heavy black and red currant. Lingering flavors. Quite intens, though less thick than I had expected.
Thanks for sharing Sjogro! Dark purple with a ring purple head. Aroma of big black currants and red currents with floral honey. Exactly what it says it should be. Flavour is heavy sweet with a little sourness from the fruit. Full bodied with soft carbonation.
Bottle shared at Maakun’s. Dark red. Sweet floral honey, black and red currants. Big sweet mostly with some tartness. Massive rich sweetness and creamy smooth velvety feel. Full body and low or no carbonation. About as delicious as it gets.
Big bottle shared tha is to sjogro. Thanks bro! Clear deep purple with deep red hue. Massive currants, sweet honey, soft flowery, massive massive berries, flowers, cassis. Quite sweet, light tart and bitter. Full bodied. Fucking lovely.
Pour at Schramm's. Pours a deep blood red color. Blackcurrant forward nose with nice earthy notes and some light jammy redcurrant as it warms. More earthy notes on the palate with stem and seed flavors that go well with the fruit. Again, just a perfect body and texture on the palate. Lingering blackcurrant and earth.
All the currants and honey you could ask for. Delicious!
Extraordinary melomel, and here I was thinking these regular Schramms were killing it. Tons of flavour, huge amount of fruit. Sweet honey, balanced by tart fruit and something woody. Massively flavourful, bit of alcohol, highly drinkable.
Bottle: Poured a dark maroon red with a bubble head. Aroma is mixed currants, black dominant. Taste is sweet honey with tart black and red currants balance. Very tasty!
Light to dark purple. No head.green apple skin, dry, tart, sour aroma with urban. Whoa. The sum of the parts is way better than the individual ingredients. It’s tart, almost our with a thick oily substance. Green apple, pear, cherry and currant.great Irish.
