2005 vintage. Bottle shared at Brasserie 4:20 in Rome. Alex is the man and has gone to great lengths to insure that his vintage bottles are cellared correctly. This bottle was fantastic. Clear garnet pour with an off white head. The aroma was pure luscious raspberry. The taste was absolutely dominated by tart raspberries. To be honest, I expected the fruit to be almost gone and instead replaced by sour funk notes. Nothing could be farther from the truth. The were some acidic notes and even a hint of vinegar, but the funk and barnyard flavors I have come to expect were non-existent. This bottle was crisp, clean, and refreshing. Simply outstanding.......
Bottle. Bit hazy ruby. Still massive raspberry, great funk. Amazing!
Copper with a small white head. Some oxidized strawberry jam. Soured and intense. Strawberry jam still comes through. Nice.
