Blend of raspberries with two-year-old lambic - 300 g per litre.

Beer with very intense fruitiness. The natural tartness of the raspberries nicely complements the lambic’s slight acidity.

This beer will keep for a long time in a good cellar but we recommend to drink it within the year to enjoy the intensity of the fruit.

As opposed to Rosé de Gambrinus, which is produced by blending one- and two-year old lambics, Framboise Lou Pepe only uses beers that have matured in casks for two years.

Beers selected for their elegant and wine-like characteristics.

We use 300 g of fruit per litre of lambic for this delightfully fruity beer.

2012 bottle at the brewery. Aroma of raspberry and crackers! Musty, nice fruitiness, sourness but more tart, ends with a bit of a fruity burn. Nice stuff. --- Beer merged from original tick of Lou Pepe Framboise on 09 Sep 2019 at 16:05 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 9 | Flavor - 10 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 9. Had 'm al te lang staan voor een speciaal moment. Cees en Benzai fietsten vandaag gemiddeld 30.31 km/h. Vieren. Smaakt nog goed.

2001 vintage. Beer gushes slightly, but the head disappears almost immediately. Pinkish red color. Strong raspberry, lemon and oak aroma. Also a raspberry and lemon flavor, but not as powerfull as in the aroma. Fairly dry with some remaining fruity sweetness. Not too sour, but lively and refreshing. Dry mouthfeel. Tannines. This is a framboise lambic as it should be!

75cl bottle (2012). Pours a deep hazed pinkish red. Big pulpy raspberry nose. Taste presents an intense acidity, high vinegar with tart, gloopy raspberry. Overall comes across a bit messy and too full on, lacking finesse with too much heavy-hitting vinegar and concentrated raspberry. Unpleasantly intense.
