0.33 l bottle from 'Sterk Avondverkoop', bottled in December 2016, cellared for more than a year. Pitch black with a thin, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Intensely sweetish, malty, gently roasty aroma of nougat, mocca, hazelnut, some bourbon and a touch of licorice. Quite sweet, malty, gently roasty and moderately bitter taste of nougat, mocca, praline, quite some bourbon, hazelnut and hints of licorice, followed by a long, rather bitter, gently roasty, slightly earthy and a bit warming (but not boozy at all) finish. Full body, creamy mouthfeel, almost flat. Great Stout by De Molen again, this time less roasty but with a remarkably bitter finish and superbly balanced barrel-aging. Very good!

Huge thanks Iznogud/JFK/Max! Very dark brown body with an off whtie head. Bready, raisin, sharp aroma, cookie dough with a touch of glue. Quite interesting and nice. Chocolate cookie maltiness, fantastic, while the barrel gives mild solvent notes, and a touch of tartness to balance it out. Actually very much a nice beer, and I'd really love to try the base!

Bottled 21-12-16. Proper Molen. Thick, rich, boozy, with loads of coffee, cocoa. Even some tart fruit. Plenty of bourbon. Very nice indeed!

330ml bottle, 10.7 % abv, boght at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Espresso head to a jet black body, crocheted lacing. Attractive nose of dark bread, coffee and chocolate. Solid blended taste of earthy chocolate, dark berry fruits, wood and molasses on a bourbon backbone. Roasted mid-sweet, warming finish. Slow sipper enjoyed for an hour or so. (Tromsø 06.10.2017).

Flaske fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø - Langnes. Svart. Høyt lysebrunt luftig skum som daler sakte. Litt lacing. Aroma av søt whisky. Oljeaktig munnfølelse. Smaken mer søt whisky ispedd litt lakris. Det ble kanskje vel mye whisky her. Tynt bunnfall igjen i flaska.
