Again, the basic old and young lambic are matured in oak casks. But here we add to one year-old lambic about 400 grams of real cherries per litre. This creates a second fermentation in the casks. Oude Kriek Boon then undergoes a further fermentation in the bottle and has an alcohol volume of 6.5%. After several months, the flavour has matured to the desired taste.
Oude Kriek Boon is a test of your patience. It should lie about 2 years in the bottle. At first, it tastes of fruit, especially sour cherries. Oude Kriek Boon eventually evolves into a deep taste reminiscent of Port or Madeira wine. This is kriek at its best.

37.5cl Fles van De Laat. Donker roodpaarse kleur, dieproze kraag. Fris, licht zuur, citroen, kersen, brood, licht aards, smaakvol maar niet heel uitgesproken, lichtzure finish. Medium body, redelijk romig mondgevoel. Mooie instap-kriek.

On tap at MBCC Red Session. Pours ruby with small pinkish head. The aroma is strong cherry skin and funk. Slick body, tart cherry, light funk, very nice.

Jesli idzie o aromat, to wisnie, ale takie swieze, bez pestkowosci, i prawie bez dzikosci, dziwne. W uscie wytrawny, ciut bardziej zlozony bo posmak ciut piwniczny ale nieprzeszkadzajaco. Za to kwasnosc w kosmos, znow dziwne. Za kwasny. Nie jest zlozony

Jeden z fajniejszych rocznikow z tej serii, troche nawet pestkowy, nie do konca wytrawny, bardzo intensywnie owocki, kwasnosc umiarkowana, nie no, bardziej renomowane lambikarnie by sie nie powstydzily

Wat ouder exemplaar, maar nog steeds zachte krieken meer, marsepein. Wel vrij veel koolzuur, niet zo zuur. Prima op een zomerse dag

37,5 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ de Prins, Rhenoy. Clear ruby with a pink head. Aroma of sour cherries. Sour taste with a sweet taste and a sour quite dusty finish. I do like my Lambics and gueuzes and even the occasional kriek but this one didn't do it for me as it tastes dusty and dull.

Kurde, w tych boonach nie czuc wieku zabardzo. Jest wisniowo, jkapke pestkowo, grzeczniutka dziczyzna, wytrawne, lekko kwasne, bardzo smaczne ale tez bez zadecia
