Bottle at Craft Clerkenwell. The last one. Thanks Tom! My last beer in London of the holiday. Golden amber colour, big bubbly white head. Aroma lemon, grapefruit, lots of funk, citrus, lovely. Taste very soft, nice sourness, flat creaminess, leather, some sherbert, beautiful. Really nice and well worth the money. So good that I wanted to just drink it, rather than think too much about rating it.
Corked bottle from ClubGonzo, thanks! Orange blonde. Lemon, oak, pineapple, honey and grass in the aroma. Moderately sour oaky flavor with hints of bitter walnuts, pineaple, grapefruit. Complex but quite drinkable and matured geuze. Really top class.
Thanks Owen for the bottle! Teku showing deep amber b with a finger of clean white foam. The nose shows moderately intense sweet round notes of must, brett, and syrup. The palate is well carbonated and light bodied with sparkling acidity throughout. Moderately tart with clean notes of caramel, brett, hay, and barndoor. Tartness rounds off on the finish. Perfect lambic.
