250ml bottle (3.9%); BB 27th Jul 2022. Drank at home during a Belgian Beer Day to celebrated our 44th Wedding Anniversary on 7th May 2021. Cherry red body, small pink head. Fairly sweet cherry flavour, not tart or sour, but not syrupy either.
0.25 l bottle as 'Rodenbach Fruitage' from 'Bierothek', 3.9% abv, best before February 2021. Clear, ruby with a thin, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, sourish, quite fruity aroma of redcurrant, raspberry juice, strawberry and a touch of lemonade. Rather sweet, slightly sour, quite fruity taste of sherbet powder, redcurrant, raspberry and strawberry, followed by a short, slightly tart finish. Thin to medium body, minimally astringent and quite effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Too sweet for my liking but not overly so, way more pleasant than 'Liefmans Fruitesse' for example. Nicely fruity and with a sourish touch to balance the sweetness, lacking the artificial flavours of its competitors.
Dull red brown colour. Aroma and flavour have some sweet and sour cherry notes. Cherry not my thing.
Bottle. Dark red color. Fruit yoghurt and cranberries in the aroma. Sweet and sour flavor with lots of berry fruit. Fruit yoghurt. The sweet, sour and berry combination works out beautifully. Surprisingly nice.
