Bottled at Ottawa gathering. Hazy mahogany colour, no head. Maple syrup and caramel up front. Sweet with full body and dense, rounded mouthfeel. Treacle, mild smoke, honey. Peppery warming finish with some bitterness.

Bottle received in trade. Thank you heatwaves! Pours dark born with a small goldenish beige head that doesn’t leave much trace while dissipating. Smell is sweet and malty with caramel, toffee, charred wood, smoke, charred wood, bourbon alcohol, hay, soil and alcohol. Taste is sweet, malty and tiny smokey with caramel, toffee, charred wood, smoked charcuteries, moist soil, hay and bourbon alcohol. Mouthfeel is soft, round, tiny viscous, slightly boozy and medium to full bodied. Finish is tiny sweet, bitter and malty with caramel, toffee, smoked meats, moist soil, charred wood, bourbon alcohol and lemon zest. Nice smokey malt bomb…
