Black Tuesday Imperial Stout Aged in Red Wine Barrels

The economy fluctuates. The latest fads inevitably change. Black Tuesday stands the test of time. This rare release of our storied imperial stout was aged in the grand cru of California wine barrels, adding velvety texture, tannic complexity, spice notes, earthy layers and even more dark fruited character to our favorite day of the week.

Brownish black, itty bit of tan head. Smell is a mix between oldschool BT roast and tart, oaky red wine. Body is thinner than what I'd be used to, with quite a puckering sourness at first. Loads of red wine, some carb, oak, and then the great BT. Hot alc. Not 100% sure if that tartness all comes from the wine barrels alone, or if a bug crept in. No matter, it's delicious anyways.

Agresywny dosc, ale zarazem fajne czekokawomigdalo costam costam. Ciala nie za wiele co zwieksza w sumie chlalnosc. Kapke alkoholowe. Ale paleta fajowska

Bottle thanks to William. Pours a hazy copper with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is strong licorice, raisin, fig, grape skin, oak. Slick body, similar flavors to nose, very sweet, nice boozy finish, very nice.
