75cl bottle (2012) @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie Aug '19. Brought by me, aged since purchase in 2013. Pours deep dark brown, foamy tan head. Aroma of dark fruits, chocolate, cognac hints. Smooth palate, good representation of the aforementioned elements, some caramel coming into play. Has held up very well over the years, though a whisper of oxidisation is creeping in.
Corked bottle. Dark brown color. Cognac and butterscotch in the aroma. Malty sweet alcoholic flavor. Toffee, cognac, oak, vanilla. Decent.
75cl Bottle sample, thanks to the neighbour at NYE. 2014 edition. Dark brown colour, beige head. Aroma of lots of barrel, red wine, some rum-raisins, cognac, oak, dark fruits, Belgian yeast fruity esters, candy. Flavour is rich, lots of dark malts, dark fruits, raisins, oak, light vinous tartness, red wine, wood, hint of cognac, soft booze, bittersweet finish. Full bodied. Tasty.
