Bottle. Dark amber color. Yeasty grainy aroma. Rye bread. Malty sweet flavor. Raisin, rye bread, dried fruit. Some alcohol hidden behind the sweetness. Figs. Just a bit unbalanced.

0.33 l bottle from ’Sterk Avondverkoop’, best before December 2016. Clear, red amber with a thin, frothy, almost stable, tan head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity aroma of raisins, prunes, currant, caramel and some wood. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity taste of raisins, prunes, caramel, marzipan and hints of wood, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly warming and minimally sourish finish. Medium body, slightly creamy to oily mouthfeel, average carbonation. Quite tasty, but rather anaemic for a Quad. I really like the sourish touch though (although not sure if intended).

Hazy dark reddish amber colour, minimal off-white head, diappears in no time, no lacing. Aroma sweet malts, burned sugar, red fruits, berries, bit sourish, bubble-gum. Taste heavy sweet, sugary, alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, aftertaste sweet, some roasty bitterness, alcohol. Lacks complexity, too sweet, not one of their best.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus. Clear reddish amber color, average sized quite quickly diminishing off-white head. Smell and taste malts, sweet, some alcohol. Decent body and carbonation. Hmm yeah it’s alright.

Bottle @ benzai. Dark amber to brown colour with no head. Smells alcohol, raisins, very sweet. Tastes very sweet, raisins, hint of alcohol, appelstroop. Not horrible but quite sweet and slightly boring. Full body, soft carbo.
