Bottle. Deep dark brown color. Roast and licorice in the aroma. Malty sweet, roasty, alcoholic flavor with hints of ash and pear. Solid IRS.
At Boscafé 't Hijgend Hert, Vijlen. Shared with Anke.
Pours cloudy black with a small, diminishing, frothy, beige head. The aroma contains roasted malt, vanilla, some chocolate & coffee, hops & barley, cream. It tastes medium mocha-like sweet and light to medium roasted bitter; bit dry & toasty with some alcohol in the finish. Full body, oily/creamy texture, soft carbonation. Ideal to enjoy late in the evening.
Bottle from Maakun, many thanks! Pours almost pitch black with tall, beige head. Roasted aroma with some dark fruit, liquorice, chocolate and coffee. Taste is roasted with dark chocolate, burnt coffee, chalk and as others already mentioned, surprisingly a bit of marzipan. A slightly bitter finish. Solid. Great sipper.
33 cl bottle @ home, old label, brewed at Sallands, probably between 2 & 3 years old. Opens with a hiss. Pours a black color. Huge light brown head, rocky. Aroma’s: sweet, roasted, red fruit, coffee, light chocolate. Retronasal it’s roasted malts, sweet, mocha, caramel/toffee. Flavor is moderate to full sweet, roasty, moderate bitter. Medium bodied. High carbonation (too high at the start, gushing in the mouth). Long finish with heavy roast, almost ashy, rather bitter. Definitely the best beer I’ve had from the kettles of Sallands.

Cloudy black beer, big creamy irregular beige head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: bit sweet, roasted, caramel, dried fruits. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: very roasted start, mocha, alcohol, sweet, caramel, bit sourish. Aftertaste: bitter, pretty hoppy, roast, caramel, alcohol, sweet touch, lovely beer!

Bottle @dorstige herten, large sample. Dark brown color, medium head. Aroma is spicy, coriander, citrus, touch of roast and biscuit. Reminding me of a Rochefort 10. Bit sweet in taste, slight bitter. RIS? No. Rochefort 10? Yes. Good that I like that beer, but still -0.3 for fucking up.
