2020 bottle. Clear gold, a wisp of white head is very soon gone. Aroma of old lemons, crackers, the barn, apple box, brooding grapey oak, glacé pineapple. A fair bit of body and not bone dry. Low carbonation. Mellow autumnal fruit, sour but not acetic with old lemons, pears, pineapple. Moderately oaky at the end. I suppose the Cognac fills out the palate and the oak helps round it out, but it's all pretty seamless (although the breath of booze is a surprise).

750ml. bottle shared @Himmeriget, Copenhagen (Denmark). 11/05/2022 [#4.834 Global - #155 Belgium - #13 Cantillon] Pours cloudy golden with a minimal white head, poor retention. Aroma: oak barrels, white wine tannins and funk. Taste: funk, tart, vinous. Clean funk palate. Acidity is just perfect. Next one please!

Bottle shared by Bill at the Philly tasting. Cloudy yellow pour with a white head. Stank ass feet aromas. Sour with citrus notes and some vanilla and oak from the barrels. Medium acidity, medium body, with wonderful balance. Had this side by side with Crianza and LH12. It might be my favorite of the three.

Bottle pour at the Grand Delancey. Pours gold. Funk, intense sourness, lemon, grapefruit, delicate raisin and white grape, light petrol, apricot, plum, zesty tart lime and gooseberry, Sauvignon blanc, sunflower seeds, sweet stone fruit, minerally stone fruit skin, green apple, sweet prune and raisin finish. Good soft body with prickly carbonation. Very nice.

75cl bottle from the brewery (Blend of Lambic brewed on 30 November 2016 and 6 December 2016 aged in Cognac barrels and bottled on 10 March 2020) as my #2600 Belgium beer. F: medium, white, not long lasting. C: shiny pale gold, hazy. A: lemon, woody, unripe gooseberries, sherry touch, light sour fruity, funky. T: medium body, woody, light lemon, funky, bit cognac, green apple, sulphure touch, not so sour and complex, great one, fully enjoyed.

Takie dziwne, jakby bylo w beczkach debowych a nie po czyms... drewniano-cierpkawe w uscie. Pachnie fajowo. Ale rozczarowanie. Najprawdopodobniej to problem butelek Marka a inne sa super :)

Lõhnas on atsetooni tugev, aga maitses ei saa seda eriti, magus, hapu, puuviljane, tammene, kuuv. Maitse on suht ok, aga lõhn ei ole hea. Ei tea kas halb pudel või mingi muu probleem. --- Beer merged from original tick of 50°N-4°E (Batch 7 - 2020) on 14 Dec 2021 at 23:23.
