Bottle. Pours a deep black with a thin mocca head. Aromas of sweet chili, slight bourbon, vanilla, pepper. Taste is pepper, chili, still slight bourbon (wouldve liked more), jalapenos, slight roasted malt. Aftertaste is roasty and dry. Chili comes through with the heat. Medium mouthfeel. Couldve been thicker.

Vollmundig malziger Antrunk. Weich, das Chili ist eher riechbar als geschmacklich erkennbar. Noten von Schokolade, süffig, zum Ende würziger. 10/12/12/11/12/11

Sampled from 0.375 l bottle. Pitch black with a brown head. Sweetish-malty, moderately roasty aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, vanilla, bourbon and some licorice. Sweetish-malty, moderately roasty taste of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice, some tar, ash, vanilla and bourbon, followed by a medium long, moderately roasty-bitter, slightly warming-alcoholic and moderately peppery-spicy finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very nice!

375 ml bottle. Pours an opaque, dark brown with a huge, frothy, brown head that laces. Rich chocolate aroma with roasted malt, oak and a hint of chili. Sweet flavour of chocolate, roasted malt, bourbon, oak, lighter notes of chili, vanilla and smoke with a subtle warming alcohol finish. Full body with a creamy, oily texture and soft carbonation. A well balanced, excellent brew.

Bottle Pours very dark brown , with a mocha head . Smell is sweet , dark, heavy , bit spices, very full and thick . Reminds me of when I had my first few mikkeller Imperial stouts , even ! And tháts a compliment ! Touch to much carbo , but still doable . INTENSE chocolate taste ( I LOVE that ! ) and bitterness that naturally joins that . Not too much of the peppers , just hints, that blend in perfectly . Mouthfeel is very good , full , but I midd thickness . In a way, the body is perfect for this ABV , but I rate blindly and simply prefer thicker beer . AKA no perfection here ( not possible neither I guess ) So I cannot give that part 5/5 . I expected this one to be mediocer to me at best. I am surprised to discover it is actually one of the best mikkellers yet , on about 110 I drank of them . At this ABV , at this price ? Hell yes, tháts how its done !
