hazy golden color. Minerally orange marmalade nose.modestly bitter finish with some apple and oranges. Decent
Nice hoppiness and vinous, light and crushable body, bitter finish
as Dulle Jef, bottle from 20 years old. Clear golden colour, white foam. Some oxidation, sweet malts, some bitter hoppy notes. Typical Dolle profile. Not bad for this age.
Crushable 4.3
Aroma has yeast, hops and citrus. Hoppy flavor with citrus and a bit of cherry. Rather thin with some tartness. Buttery with a pear and peach fruitiness. I like Dolle Brouwers beers and this is no exception.
Tasted from bottle, from tap and under its alias De Kavijaks. Thick and firm, cream white, rocky head, yellowish peach blonde colour, cloudy. Strong orange presence in the aroma as well as hay, pepper, banana, cloves, ’speculaas’, bark, bitter honey, cheese, marzipan. Fruity taste, citrussy freshness, not too sweet, light honeyish malt, overpowered by a ’green’, resinous, quite sharp hop bitterness that dries the finish. Typical uncompromising Dolle brew.
Bottle at Akkurat. 1992 vintage. Clear deep golden liquid with minimal white head. Aroma of dried fruit, cachaca, port wine, pears and raw sugar. Taste is light sweet, light bitter and light to medium sour with notes of cachaca, raw sugar and bread. Medium bodied with low carbonation. Pretty good.
2007 vintage bottle shared. Pours cloudy golden with an off white head. Aroma of blackcurrents, spice, caramel, raisins. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
33cl bottle vintage 2007 courtesy of and shared with Kermis, Thanks. Thin creamy white head. Hazy blond pour. Nice fruity taste. Very interesting.
