Fairly hazy red purple with a lively and big hit short lived pink head. The aroma jumps out at you as soon as you pour and I knew straight away I was in for a treat! Huge raspberry jam with lightly balanced cherry notes and that beautiful 3 Fonteinen cellar funk. Cobwebby, a little dusty, mineral notes fresh tart raspberry and that huge gorgeous raspberry jam. This is a good vintage and it’s taken age well. Flavour is moderate sweet and sour. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Fantastic!
Bottle, enormous thanks poech! Blend n. 78, season 17/18, 5.6%. BD 13.9.2018. Very dark red body, almost no head. Jammy raspberry-cherry aroma, edged by some funk, pretty strong but well balanced. Some tart jammy tartness, mouth puckering, fairly clean, pleasant. Very strong sourness. A bit rough, but this is definitely an excellent fruit lambic!
Bottle at home. Color has started to dull somewhat, to a brownish red. Lots of raspberries. Quite sour but not as much as some other blends of Hommage. Overall a nice one.
Fairly hazy red with a light pink head. Aroma of cherry, fresh raspberry and light funk. Flavour is moderate sour. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
Bottle for my bd. Looks nice, but the light pink head disappears completely after about 10 seconds. Lovely fruit, almonds and bright funk. Soft green apple and minerals. It's quite sour, though not as harsh as some other Hommage blends. I paired it with a green salad but that didn't work as the salad made the acidity come out more. Still a great beer.
