Aged well.
33cl bottle (Vintage 26.01.2021, bottled 09.11.2022, BBF: +5years) from Etre Gourmet web shop as my beer #8000. F: thin, tanned, quick gone. C: dark, opaque. A: dark malts, cocoa, chocolate, bit blackberries, woody, caramel, vanilla, nutty, smoky touch. T: full malty base, cocoa, woody, blackberries, dried fruits, dark chocolate, blueberries, vanilla touch, nutty, bit porto wine, nice balanced long lasting bitterness, light oily mouthfeel, first beer from this legendary series remastered and very good for the style, fully enjoyed.
Sampled @ Billie's Craft Beer Fest 2022, Saturday Session. A very dark brown beer. Aroma and Taste of sweet strong dark malt, chocolate, coffee, wood.
This is still an incredibly tasty imperial stout. 8 years old... No signs of cardboard or other defects. Still fresh... The primal definition of an excellent imperial stout.
Bottle thanks to Rasmusott, Lukasmh and Vestergaard. Pours pitch black with a big brown head. Aromas of roast, black chocolate, filled chocolates, vinous tart, dry wood, vanilla. Taste is fudgey, blackberries, vinous, dry wood, chocolate, vanilla, roast, malt, light yeasty notes.
Bottle. Thanks Jon. Very nice. Aroma is little smoky, dark and roasty. Taste is very nice, roast, caramel, chocolate, little sweetness. Little bit of sourness, is that the blackberries?
Tap @ Borefts 2013. Deep dark brown color. Black berries, malt, coffee and roast in the aroma. Malty sweet, roasty flavor with black berries. Complex but alcoholic.
