Can from Albert Heijn. Hazy amber, small, frothy, off-white head. Aroma of pine resin & needle, grapefruit peel, pink grapefruit, biscuit, mango, pomegrenate, grape. Taste has sweetish mango, grape & blood orange over biscuity, slightly caramelly maltiness; quite bitter in the middle with notes of grapefruit, pine & herbs. Dry, bitter, piney & resinous hoppy finish, lingering grapefruit peel & (blood) orange. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Very satisfying old-school IPA.
330ml bottle from the Beer Bank, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a slightly hazy dark amber colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, piney hops and resin. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a rich, wet oily hop, light sweet toffee caramel, light citrus fruit, woody hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Over medium bodied with average carbonation.
Can at home, darker amber coloured beer, small head. Aroma is malt, resin, hops, caramel, citrus. Taste is the same, refreshing piney, resiney, hop flavours. very good.
