The aromas are dark malt and roast with a little chocolate. Flavors are similar to nose, lightly sweet upfront, with hints of coconut. Soft smooth body with slightly metallic finish.

13.6 ounce can into imperial pint glass, best before 6/3/2018. Pours crystal clear nearly opaque dark brown/black color with a 1-2 finger dense and creamy light khaki head with amazing retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts the whole glass. Thick creamy lacing clings on the glass. Amazing appearance. Aromas of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, brown sugar, toasted dark bread, and nuttiness; with light notes of smoke, char, dark fruit, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of roast/bready malt and light fruity yeast/earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, brown sugar, toasted dark bread, and nuttiness; with light notes of smoke, char, dark fruit, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Mild herbal/grassy/spicy hop and roast/char bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, brown sugar, toasted dark bread, nuttiness, light smoke/char, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of roast/bready malt and light fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; with a nice roast/hop bitter/sweet balance; and no acrid/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering hop/roast bitterness. Light carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/grainy, and lightly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.8%. Overall this is a great Irish dry stout. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of roast/bready malt and light fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mildly bitter/charred/drying finish. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Very clean and nicely rich malt complexity; with mild fruity yeast and earthy hops against sweetness. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

Can (didn't open quick enough and it squirted all over the place). Chocolate malt, ash, and dry hay aroma. Black with large tan head. Mildly sweet dark chocolate malt, and mildly bitter ash/dry hay flavor. Okay body. Not bad.

16 oz can from Homebrewstuff. Opens with a whoosh, slick pour with nice tight, creamy head. Aroma is roast malts, hints of coffee and dark chocolate.Taste follows with more of the roasty bitterness, a hint of sweetness, and a nice drying finish. Nitro can makes for a nice consistency.
