Golden with a blonde head. A straight forward blonde ale purposely overpowered by coffee and chocolate. Lightly roasted. Yea it works for what it is but this is a sub-style that needs immediate death and the brewers that keep it going are taking a nose dive IMO.

Bottle: Hazy, brown-yellow with a small white head. Heavily sugared black coffee aroma. Sweetened coffee, chocolate malt, toasted grain flavour..... Delightful.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours slightly hazy golden orange color with a 1-2 finger dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big milk chocolate, cocoa, nutty coffee, vanilla, honey, toasted oats, biscuit, light caramel, and herbal/toasted earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of cocoa/coffee and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big milk chocolate, cocoa, nutty coffee, vanilla, honey, toasted oats, biscuit, light caramel, and herbal/toasted earthiness. Light herbal hop and cocoa/roast bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of milk chocolate, cocoa, nutty coffee, vanilla, honey, toasted oats, biscuit, and herbal/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of cocoa/coffee and bready malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Slight dryness from hop/cocoa notes. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, and slightly chalky/sticky mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 7%. Overall this is a very nice coffee/cocoa golden ale. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of cocoa/coffee and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink. Very vibrant on coffee/cocoa flavors with a great creamy mouthfeel; and never too bitter. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle. Black coffee, chocolate malt, and ginseng/hay aroma. Hazy golden yellow with moderate head. Moderately sweet black coffee, chocolate biscuit malt and mildly bitter ginseng/hay flavor. Good body. Tasty.
