Thanks, dad, for sharing! Clear dark brown-amber, stable, foamy, beige head. Aroma of brown bread, toast, walnut oil, old raisin, prune, dusty attic, dried orange peel. Taste has sweet prune, dried banana, pineapple & pear in a brown-bready malt profile, bit nutty-toasty with earthy effect. Earthy & herbal hoppy finish, note of chocolate powder, some coffee & dried fruits, warming gin-like alcohol. Medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation. One could argue about the style but in itself this is a very enjoyable dark Ale.
Had this about 1,5 years after its release, so far from fresh. Pours a deep dark reddish brown colour and a huge light beige head with long retention. Aroma's: pretty much like a black IPA, hops, light roast, some sweetness, but also a bit fruit. Retronasal follows this, although fruit is more pronounced. Flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet - a bit like rye bread, with fruity sourness. Medium bodied. A bit too much carbonation (gushing in the mouth). Finishes with some ash, moderate bitter.

Clear dark brown beer, big solid creamy beige head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: bit fruity, some caramel, dried fruits, dusty, spicy, coriander, some cloves. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bit malty, sweetish, caramel, soft roast, bitter. Aftertaste: more roasted notes, some caramel, bit sweet, pretty bitter as well. Weird choice to make the âhoppy versionâ of the dark CuvĂ©e, and not the blond...
Sampled at Het Anker. Not a fan. I got wet dead leaves and dusty, musty aromas. Flavor is malts, dark earthy malts, caramel notes which doens't blend well with the hop. Overall it's ok but definitely not my kind of black IPA. Decent body and carbonation.

True dark amber to mahogany; towering dense yellow-amber head, very slowly receding with lace. Good hops' aroma, some caramel even toffee, bit dusty, dark green leaves, melanoidins. Bitter, woody, bitter chocolate, not really fruity hops. Some meaty esters, again melanoidin overload, woody wryness. Well bodied, creamy MF, well-carbonated. The wryness keeps in the mouth, giving long lasting flavouring but also astringency. Again not really outstanding, let alone adventurous, just plain decent.
