On the palate, the barrel-ageing provides bread crust, roasting and smoky aromas, enhanced by a touch of honey and vanilla.

Pours dark brown, big white head. Smell is sweet, sugar. Taste is sharp, bit booze, sugar, mild wood. No real whiskey. Some extra sweetness.

Bouteille 75cl, bottled 02/2018. Achetée dans le gift pack de 3 bouteilles. Cuivrée/ambrée, col fin blanc-cassé. Arôme au nez fin malté, caramel, touche de pâle, fruits noirs et rouges, barrique et fine douceur de whisky en rétro. Palais est bien mesuré et balancé, même si les collègues l'ont trouvée un peu trop douce. Caramel, touche crystal - candy, fruits noirs, le tout collant aux lèvres, boisé plaisant sur la fin sans être trop dominant, le whisky est là plus en retrait

Corked bottle. Deep dark brown color. Licorice, laurel, oak and soft herbal notes in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor, herbal with oak, vanilla and whisky. Just a bit overcarbonated maybe. But a fine beer.

Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, sweet malt, candy, moderate to heavy yeasty, belgium yeast, candy - sweet yeast, fruity yeast, dried fruit, wood, alcohol - whisky - barrel. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, spicy, belgium yeast, wood - barrel, sweet yeast, candy, dried fruit. Bottle @ Nuchtere Noorden Tasting shared by ShivanDragon. Red brown color, average sized beige head. Smell and taste malts, oak, a bit sweet, caramelised sugars, brown candy sugar. Don't get whiskey though. Medium body, nice round mouthfeel, decent to medium carbonation. Nice. 8-4-8-4-17.
