32 ounce crowler into pint glass, filled on 8/18/2019. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy pale golden yellow color with a 2 finger dense/creamy/rocky white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big lemon, orange peel, peach, pear, melon, red apple, coriander, peppercorn, clove, light banana/bubblegum, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of orange peel, coriander, fruity/spicy yeast, pale/wheat malts, and light earthy hop notes; with big strength. Taste of big lemon, orange peel, peach, pear, melon, red apple, coriander, peppercorn, clove, light banana/bubblegum, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal, floral, grassy bitterness; pepper/clove yeast spiciness; and wheat tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, orange peel, peach, pear, melon, red apple, coriander, peppercorn, clove, banana, bubblegum, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of orange peel, coriander, fruity/spicy yeast, pale/wheat malts, and light earthy hop flavors; with a nice malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitter/spiciness, and tart/tangy wheat. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/grainy, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.1%. Overall this is an outstanding witbier. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of orange peel, coriander, fruity/spicy yeast, pale/wheat malts, and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth and refreshing to drink with the mildly bitter/spicy/drying finish. Amazingly soft feel and very flavorful for the ABV. Fantastic balance of spices and Belgian wit yeast complexity; with a nicely rich pale/wheat malt backbone, and solid earthy hops. Mild residual sweetness with lingering dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and outstandingly spot on style example.
