Honey, barley malt, and hay aroma. Dark amber with small head. Moderately sweet honey, creamy barley malt, and mildly bitter hay flavor. Nice body and balance. Excellent.

12 ounce can into lager glass, canned on 6/12/2019. Pours crystal clear deep golden amber, light orange/copper color with a 1 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon, orange, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, caramel, brown sugar, brown bread dough/crust, and toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of nuttiness, herbal, floral, wood, grass, peppercorn, and pine. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and dark/bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of big lemon, orange, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, caramel, brown sugar, brown bread dough/crust, and toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of nuttiness, herbal, floral, wood, grass, peppercorn, and pine. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, orange, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, caramel, brown sugar, brown bread dough/crust, toasted biscuit, nuttiness, herbal, floral, wood, grass, peppercorn, and pine on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and dark/bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp finishing. Very clean on lager flavors, with minimal fruity/yeasty notes. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/bready/grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Slight lingering resins through the glass. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.8%. Overall this is a delicious amber lager. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and dark/bready malt flavors; very smooth, refreshing, and fairly crisp to drink with the mellowly bitter/drying finish. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Great balance between juicy/vibrant/earthy hops, and clean dark/bready malts. Mild residual sweetness with crisp drying. A very enjoyable offering, and impressively well made style example as expected. Did not expect it to be as hoppy as it was, but hardly overpowering.
