12 ounce can into lager glass, canned on 2/12/2019. Pours slightly hazy pale golden yellow color with a small fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin spotty lace cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon, orange, grapefruit, citrus peel/zest, peach, melon, cracker, and white bread dough; with lighter notes of biscuit, toast, wood, peppercorn, pine, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. A bit too fruity/yeasty aromas, but not overwhelming. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and moderate pale malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, orange, grapefruit, citrus peel/zest, peach, melon, cracker, and white bread dough; with lighter notes of biscuit, toast, wood, peppercorn, pine, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, woody, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, orange, grapefruit, citrus peel/zest, peach, melon, cracker, white bread dough, light biscuit/toast, wood, peppercorn, pine, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no astringent hop flavors after the finish. Moderately crisp/clean finishing. Very clean on lager flavors, with minimal fruity/yeasty notes present. Moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and carbonation. Medium-plus carbonation and light body; with a very smooth and moderately grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.2%. Overall this is a very nice American light lager. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink with the modestly bitter/drying finish. Flavorful and not too watery for the ABV. Nice vibrant Apollo hop showcase; with a clean pale malt backbone. Zero residual sweetness with crisp dryness. A very enjoyable offering, an impressively well made style example. One of the better true light lagers I have had.
