28/04/2018 – 10cl glass shared with an international ratebeer crew @ZBF2018 Dark brown, no head. Nose is malts, fruits, caramel. Taste is malts, fruits, sweet, syrup, some apple.
Dunkel malziger, rund würziger Beginn. Brotig, etwas Schokolade, wässriger Hintergrund. Kaum karbonisiert. 8/10/9/8//9
Big thanks to Beerhunter111. 330 ml. bottle sampled @ ZBF 2018. Black, mocha head, least solid head of the seires. Nose is bit more mellow more basic sweet sugar, syrup, touch roast & alcoholic. Thinner & bit fizzier but only compared to the others, sweet sugar, grains, syrup, molasses, candy, cooked apples. Very nice but far below JD & Cognac versions for me.
Sampled @ Zythos Bier Festival 2018. A very dark brown beer. Aroma of intense strong riped fruits, red fruits, wood, caramel. Taste of strong riped fruits, caramel, vanilla, oak, strong malt, fascinating.
Bottle, many thanks Erzengel, Beerhunter111 and Kappldav123! Dark brown color with beige head. Aroma is apple barrel, chocolate, brown sugar. Taste is chocolate, apple barrel, wood sugar, fudge. Silky mouthfeel with low carbonation. Super tasty!

28/IV/18 - 33cl bottle @ Zythos Bierfestival 2018 (Leuven) - BB: n/a (2018-533) Thanks to beerhunter111 for sharing the bottle!
Clear dark brown beer, small creamy beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: very oxidized, spicy, old beer. MF: no carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet start, caramel, pretty oxidized, soft roast, some chocolate, sweet, alcohol, cognac. Aftertaste: more alcohol, oxidized, old, dusty, lots of chocolate, nice one, little too oxidized though...
Many thanks to Kappldav123 for this bottle. Malty intense beginning. The beer starts fresh malty, not too deep with a great woody calvados finish. Deep malty with slightly sweetish calvados, Round and not too deep
Bottle @ home. Dark brown colour, thin layer of beige foam. Sweet malts, complex woody notes, rather sweet, calvados. Well balanced, maybe a tad too sweet.
