12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 6/20/2017. Pours lightly hazy medium golden/yellow color with a 1-2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of lightly tart lemon, lime, citrus peel, cracker, biscuit, white bread, pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance of lemon juice/peels, pale malt, and earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big lightly tart lemon, lime, citrus peel, cracker, biscuit, white bread, pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/spicy bitterness and slight lemon tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of lightly tart lemon, lime, citrus peel, cracker, biscuit, white bread, pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great robustness and balance of lemon juice/peels, pale malt, and earthy hop flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Very clean on lager flavors, with zero yeast notes present. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and moderately bready/grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.6%. Overall this a great radler style. All around great robustness and balance of lemon juice/peels, pale malt, and earthy hop flavors; very smooth, flavorful, and refreshing to drink. Spot on Helles style flavors, with nice fruit presence and balance that never overwhelms the base beer. A very enjoyable offering.
