Created by our brewer Kurt Mayes, O-Gii is a collaboration with Milwaukee’s own Rishi Tea, infusing Asian character to this monster wheat beer. The name is our nod to the brewing abbreviation OG, which defines the potential for alcohol level prior to fermentation. Enjoy this monster fusion of balance and aggression.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, no can dating. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy deep golden yellow color with a 2 finger fairly dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of huge lemon, pear, apple, mango, melon, orange peel, coriander, ginger, chamomile, lavender, hibiscus, light pepper, wheat, biscuit, honey, floral, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Incredible aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/earthy yeast, tea/spices, and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge lemon, pear, apple, mango, melon, orange peel, coriander, ginger, chamomile, lavender, hibiscus, light pepper, wheat, biscuit, honey, floral, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Light-moderate herbal bitterness/yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, pear, apple, mango, melon, orange peel, coriander, ginger, chamomile, wheat, biscuit, honey, and floral/yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, tea/spices, and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/yeast/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, fairly creamy/bready, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a light warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is an absolutely amazing Imperial tea witbier. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, tea/spices, and bready malt flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the big ABV. There was a crazy amount of different tea complexity present in this beer, but it worked seamlessly with the base witbier style. An incredibly delicious offering.
