Sinaasappelmarmelade met rozijnen en stopverf. Wat ongepolijst, ergens wel lekker, maar ik zou er niet de winkel van leegkopen
Bottle at Rootz Winterbierfestival. Bit hazy dark brown with small beige head. Quite some sherry, vanilla, sweet malts, roasted malts, dried figs, marzipan, sour berries, sweet and sour grapes, oak. Over medium sweet, medium bitter and light tart. Almost full bodied. Quite tasty!
Rootz Winterbier. Dark brown with some cream head. Sweet roasted barley wines. Massive sherry, roasted barley, very smooth and sweet. Sweet, tart, bit umami meaty greasy. Oily slick feel, soft carbonation.
Bottle. Color: Dark copper brown, thin beige head. Aroma: Sweetish and boozy Sherry, dried fruit, some caramel. Taste: Medium sweet, toffee, caramel, dried fruit, citrus hints, overwhelmed (not in a negative way) by oak wood and sweetish Sherry with notes of concentrated white grapes and tart grapeskin. A lot of tannins. Moderate bitterness, somewhat more at finish. Dry and fruity bitter mouthfeel at finish. A bit sticky, but combined with this complexity and balance that's no problem. Another great one in the Bronckhorster BA Series.
Bottle. Dark brown color. Oak, dried fruit and sherry in the aroma. Hint of vanilla. Malty sweet flavor with soft floral notes, dried fruit, oak and sherry. Vanilla. Full bodied. Slightly alcoholic. Good stuff.
