Bottle. Almost black. Malt, roast, caramel, bourbon, vanilla and herbal notes in the aroma. Malty sweet, roasty, alcoholic flavor. Herbal, vanilla, bourbon. Almost full bodied, has thinned a bit probably due to the barrel aging. Complex, complete, nice. Not perfect, but the Tsarina once again delivers.

Black with thin head. Aroma is very woody with some roasted malts too. Flavour has lingering woody dryness and warming alcohol. Throughout there's a gentle vanilla sweetness

Huge Woodford notes, wet oak, mouldy barrel, toffee, vanilla, light sour cherries. A complex beer, maybe a bit too bitter in the finish. 4.2 --- Beer merged from original tick of Tsarina Esra Woodford Reserve BA on 18 May 2018 at 06:58 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 8. Original review text: Dark pour with a beige head. Notes of wood, sour oak, bourbon, vanilla, dried fruit, figs, raisins, chocolate, cherries. The barrel notes just a bit too overpowering.
