Grapes, muscat, soft, bit creamy, vanilla ice cream.
Danke an minutemat. Süffiger, parfümiert wirkender Hopfenantrunk. Konstanter, blumig bitterer Hopfen im Mittelteil, intensiv, steigend würzig. Trocken, brotig, langer Abgang. 10/11/11/11/10/11
440ml can. Slightly hazy orange with a white head, fine sediment floating around. Aroma of sweet grapes and lemon, floral. Taste is sweet, grape juice, lemon juice, vinous, a bit perfumey and floral, dry...ish, not as dry as a brut should be, bitter finish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. Ok but a bit weird.
Cask @ Salopian, the pub. Pours a slowly clearing gold, small white head. Super smooth mouthfeel, a touch creamy with prominent lemon citrus, some distant white wine notes perhaps. Fairly light, but not especially drying as per the Brut style though I imagine it would be more so on keg. Comes across like a super-charged Salopian golden ale, which is a good thing. Keg @ Station. Pours golden yellow, medium white head. Much more of a vibrant aroma than cask I think, some interesting lemon citrus. Bright carbonation, though not brut-like. Interesting vibrancy of sweet grape / gooseberry / lemon flavours, that seem to shine more on keg. Low bitterness lends a nice sessionability. Interesting to see how this style develops.
