Large bottle between five at the 7th Sep 2016 Shrewsbury Bottle share meeting in Chez Sophie: cheers Simon for this offering. Misty golden pour, white topping. Would never have thought this a German Hefeweizen in style. Thought it was a fizzy Saison. Struggled to enjoy it.
75cl bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Sep 16, courtesy of Simon. Many thanks! Pours a misty gold, large frothy white head. Aroma is lightly sweet wit yeast. High carbonation, but still rather fresh tasting with a breezy yeast sweetness and zesty shades. I imagine this would be a welcome alternative to the lager that seems to flood most Spanish bars and resorts. In England however, while not unpleasant, it’s a bit so so.
Bottle from Carrefour. I think this should be classified as a German Hefeweizen. Hazy light golden coloured with a small white head. Nose is wheat, fruity, slight hint of banana, bit yeasty. Flavour is wheat, bit fruity, banana, yeasty. Medium carbonation. Light bitterness. Refreshing and ok drinkable.
