27 April 2019. At Zythos Bierfestival. Deputy Taster: Anke. Cheers to Ama Deke, Erwin, John & Meeki! Cloudy black, lasting, thin, frothy, yellowish beige head. Inviting aroma of brownie dough, coffee with cream, milk chocolate filled with nuts, nutmeg, raisin, vanilla. Taste is medium to heavy malty sweet, very creamy & chocolatey, accents of nuts, dough, sweet mocha & vanilla, roasted notes of fondant, some cookie spices & dark fruits popping up in the back. Dryish, malty, slightly herbal hoppy finish, lingering cream, chocolate & mocha, delivering a warming dash of coffee liqueur-like alcohol. Medium to full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Rather sweet brew by Totem but it’s so delicate & rich at the same time. Very good!

Clear black beer, no head. Aroma: nice roast, lots of coffee, dark chocolate, dry impression. MF: soft to no carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet, caramel malts, sugary, some vanilla, chocolate notes. MF: sweet, nice roast, little bitter, sugary, caramel, some lactose maybe?
Black with dark creamy head that melts into the beer. Aroma and flavour have roasted malts. Low bitterness. Very rich and creamy. Sweet but not overly so.
