IPA - Imperial New England / Hazy Rotating
Score
8.03
ABV: 8.6% IBU: - Ticks: 11
If Haze had an evil older brother… Very Hazy conveys all the beautiful flavors of Haze, but with even greater depth, potency, and hop intensity. In short, it contains the most liberal application of hops in our short history. A pungent citrus juice aroma primes the senses for the intense flavor to follow. We taste pulpy orange, peach, and a melange of tropical fruit. Just the right amount of bitterness graces the palate while a sensual mouthfeel make you easily (and dangerously!) forget this one clocks in at 8.6%

Taster at home courtesy of Sander, big thanks. yellow murky color, small white head. smells of onions, some oats, exotic fruits, weird smell. full body, soft carbonation. tastes dank, earthy, light onions again, grassy, some hop burn, herbal, oats, some mango, light vanilla. finishes medium bitter with notes of onions, some hop burn and some oats. Don't get it, not very exciting. Expected more.

Right. Fuller than the regular version. Hint smoother too. Not sure if it’s batch variance but currently prefer this to the base.

19/V/18 - 1Pt. can @ ElManana+1's place - BB: n/a, canned: IV/13/18 (2018-723) Thanks to ElManana+1 for sharing the can!

Cloudy pale yellow beige beer, creamy yellowish head, little stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: pretty dank, hoppy, some ripe papaya, tropical fruits, very cheesy notes. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: oh yes, pretty sweet start, bitter, some grapefruit, piny notes. Aftertaste: nice tropical fruits notes, mango, pineapple, more grapefruit, dank, resinous hops, sweetish touch, very nice!

Thanks Virby44 for the can! Poured into a taster showing opaque yellow with half a finger of clean white foam. The nose shows a mix of mango, peaches, and light citric notes of grapefruit. The palate is highly carbonated and medium bodied. Flavors of juicy mango and peaches with a light citric edge of grapefruit. Grapefruit bitterness on the finish followed by a longer resurgence of grapefruit pith and zestiness. Refreshing and very fruit forward.
