Pours pitch black and a dense brown head with good retention. Aroma's: umami, fruit, ginger, sesame, roast. Retronasal: Ginger, roast, chocolate. Flavour is moderate sweet, roasted bitter, light umami. Medium bodied. Good carbonation. Long finish with firm roast, ash, bitter.
44 cl. can shared with Rick @ Rick, bought @ Una Mas, Nieuwegein.
Black with a beige head. Roasted malts, coffee, chocolate and ginger aroma. Sweet taste with a bitter roasted malt finish. Bit unusual combination: stout and ginger but it works very well together.
Smoky and thick. Feels Belgian somehow. Spicy too. Nice!
44cl can from Chez Sophie in Shrewsbury. Drank at home on 4th Nov 2020. Very black, tanned topping. Malty little number with a few extra's thrown in, subtle chilli and ginger traces along with an orange flavour hint all combine to give the beer an 'edge' and make it a little different to regular Stout. Liked it.
Can. Black pour. Aroma of burned caramel, licorice, soft smoke and mocha coffee. Taste has soft mocha coffee, licorice, bitter burned caramel, very subtle spice and just a little sesame at first. But after I let it breath for a while, more spice flavor came loose, with spicey ginger and mild chili hotness. Getting better while opening up, but was hoping for more character. A bit dissapointing.
Can. Black with tan head. Deep roast, ashy and chocolatey. Sweet, milkstout sweet, red fruit in there too. Big sweet and bitter. Over medium body and soft carbonation.
Can at THT July. Very dark brown with tan head. Licorice, roasted malts, toffee, tahini, brown sweet sesame paste, soft pepper, tar, deep roasted. Over medium sweet and quite bitter. Over medium bodied with oily feel.
44cl blik, tfs Kermis! Gitzwart, bruine kraag. Gember, geroosterde en verbrande mout, koffie, pure chocolade, chilipeper, heerlijk kruidig en pikant. Volle body, glad. Erg lekker.
